The Bylaws of the Warren Land Conservation Trust call for an Annual Meeting of the members. Since the recent revitalization of the organization, this meeting has been scheduled in the Fall. It is held at 691 Main St. in Warren, Rhode Island where Hope and Main, another local non-profit resides (the former Main Street School).
There is a plan to update the Bylaws in the year 2018.
The meeting provides an opportunity to describe what the Trust has accomplished in the preceding year and to recognize outstanding volunteer service. Recently featured speakers have spoken on various topics ranging from the local Terrapin Turtle population in Barrington, RI, to the birds of Jacob’s Point in Warren, to local aquaculture.
The primary business aspect of the meeting is the election, by members of the Trust, for positions on the Board of Directors and for the officers of the organization.
